Part
Draw a sketch, give it volume. Change a dimension: the whole part follows.
Parts, assemblies and drawings, right in your browser. Free, nothing to install.
Four real projects filmed in the software: part modeling, assembly, section view, animation and toolpaths.
Each workbench does one thing and does it simply. The label shows the plan that includes it.
Draw a sketch, give it volume. Change a dimension: the whole part follows.
Bend sheet metal as you would in the shop, then export the flat pattern to DXF for laser cutting.
Assemble your parts, move the mechanism with the mouse, find collisions and produce the bill of materials.
Spur or helical gears, racks, bevel gears: enter the module and the number of teeth, that's all.
Manufacturing drawings always in sync with the part: views, sections, dimensions and title block, in PDF or DXF.
Place profiles on a skeleton: the cuts and the cut list take care of themselves.
Animate your mechanisms and export the sequence for a presentation or a customer.
Choose the tool: Solidus computes the toolpath, simulates it on your machine and writes the G-code.
From drawing to quote: every requirement is identified and costed, with a price per quantity, in PDF.
Screws, bearings, profiles, cylinders: search, choose the size and drag the part into your assembly.
Parts, sheet metal and assemblies are free, without even creating an account. Individuals unlock the Pro plan for free with an account, and businesses pay for their license.
No account: open Solidus and start modeling.
Individuals: create your account, the Pro plan is free.

Standard parts library (fasteners, bearings, profiles, cylinders…): included from the Pro plan for individuals.
At a glance, plan by plan. Parts, sheet metal and assemblies remain free, without an account.

The core of Solidus (kernel, part, sheet metal, assembly) will be released under the AGPL-3.0 free license as soon as the Kickstarter campaign reaches its milestone: anyone will be able to use, study, modify and redistribute it, with no limit on time or features, and your parts will never be locked in. But CAD software can't live on goodwill alone: bugs must be fixed, formats and systems keep evolving, questions need answers and those who adopt it need training. Paid plans fund this work. Every subscription directly pays for development of the free core, support, and training for businesses and schools. That's what lets Solidus last, without depending on an impatient investor or locking your files in a proprietary format.
Open Solidus in your browser and start your first sketch in under a minute.
